Obviously for a gaming audience, focusing on what the future will hold in the gaming world. For someone who is in the generation and understanding of games may enjoy this, some insulted. You will probably enjoy the concept if you like mindless action and violence which also merely relied on effects than story.
There could have been so many improvements for this film, the whole idea of how these games work in the film could have been totally different more like the Matrix been plugged in rather than been remote controlled like some brain dead moron. Even action itself has its flaws merely ending to quickly and just dull to boring. A part of the story where he is searching for his wife is just so pointless and you can't take it seriously at all which I could not care less if his wife lived or died.
The main character played by Gerard Butler, usually a man who I respect in his films does not do a great job, he does what he can for his role but it isn't anything impressive. The best bit about him is probably where he says "turn me around" in a very deep gravel layered voice which was clearly
featured in the trailer. Michael C. Hall a great actor, perhaps not in his films but his role in this suits him perfect and does a brilliant job for what he is given which really shows he his great acting skills. A character called Simon who is played by Logan Lerman who controls Kable (Gerard Butler) which is obviously a idea of Simon says is who I'd rather see thrown into these games in this film, seeing him die for been a terrible actor in this film would have bumped it up to 30% maybe...
Overall a very pointless film with a very slim and meaningless story which will leave you not caring for any character at all. What makes it worse is its pointless violence, crude behavior which is perhaps true to some people out in the real world but its unnecessary.
