Going to keep this quite short for a review. The main problem with this is that its only meant for kids, unlike Disney or Dreamworks they make their films for which appeal to adults as well mainly due to their comical references which adults will understand. The second problem with this film is that every side character in this film is damn well to much, in acting and appearance which is really just annoying or an eye sore. The main character Thumbelina and the Fairy Prince are perfect for the film which really makes it a shame that everything else is so terrible. The third and final problem with this film is the songs put into the film, their okay when the Fairy Prince and Thumbelina are singing but when everyone else gets at it you really wish it would turn into a dark horror film where the Prince would just decides to kill them all for been so awful.
The best character seems to be the bee that never says anything..
There is one good point in this film, sadly it has nothing to do with its story which getting to that soon could also have been a lot better itself as it just seemed so pointless but anyway it would have to be its backgrounds and creativity of set areas, they are very beautiful, inspiring and fresh to look at but they are almost always ruined by the many multi coloured characters always there. The story is a good idea for fantasy which is mainly about Thumbelina discovering that she is not alone and that there are people like her, for when she discovers this she also finds love but after that its just becomes annoying because that's all its about which soon becomes boring and tedious
Overall, simply a film for kids and anyone who used to watch it when they were little may sadly find it boring to watch it again as I did.
